On Thursday 19 May, staff and trustees came together with Members, Lived Experience Champions and Perinatal Mental Health professionals to celebrate MMHA’s belated 10th anniversary. It was incredibly special to share the same physical space, reflect on our collective achievements and look to the future of the Alliance.

We heard from three brilliant speakers: Honorary President, Dr Alain Gregoire; Founder of The Motherhood Group and Lived Experience Champion, Sandra Igwe; and MMHA Chair, Luciana Berger (pictured above). They reminded us to be more ambitious than ever before, to continue amplifying the voices of those with lived experience, and to keep pushing until the mental health needs of ALL mothers and families in the UK are met.

We’ve come a long way together in the past decade but the journey is far from over. We won’t stop until every woman and family in the UK gets the maternal mental healthcare they need, before, during and after pregnancy.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, in person and in spirit.
