Our vision is for a world with good mental health for all. Our mission is to help people understand, protect, and sustain their mental health. Prevention is at the heart of what we do, because the best way to deal with a crisis is to prevent it from happening in the first place.
We have successfully worked with MMHA to deliver Babies in Mind a, a 3-year Big Lottery funded project to improve the provision of mental health services to mothers in pregnancy and in the first year of their baby. More recently, we partnered on Amplifying Maternal Voices project, a 2-year project which aims to spotlight the perinatal mental health experiences from seldom heard communities.
The Foundation also delivers Young Mums Connect which promotes and co-produces peer support for mothers aged 25 and under in Nottingham and Southwark.
Mental Health Foundation recently secured funding from Department for Health and Social Care called Creating Connections which is a suicide prevention project promoting confident conversations for those working with young mothers and care experienced young people.
